Burgundy Spaghetti Recipe

Burgundy Spaghett Recipe




  • 1/2 cup Red Wine or White (optional)
  • 19 ounces chunky Stewed Tomatoes 
  • 5 1/2 ounces Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Onions Chopped
  • 4 crushed Garlic Cloves or
  • 2 Minced Garlic
  • 14 ounce can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 sweet Green Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried Leaf Basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Leaf Oregano


  • Heat oil in a large saucpan set over medium heat.
  • Add chunky pasta-style stewed Tomatoes with Tomatoe Paste and wine to the sauce pan.
  • Add onions and garlic.
  • Saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and bring to a boil, stirring often.
  • Then, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often for at least 5 minutes.
  • Add a pinch of sugar if needed.
